1 min read

The Forest Carbon & Avian Biodiversity Integrated Silviculture (FORCABIS) project is assessing the efficacy of different climate-smart forest (CSF) management strategies on private forestlands in Pennsylvania to promote forest carbon sequestration, storage, structural diversity, and bird habitat enhancement. The project aims to understand the multiple co-benefits that climate-smart forestry can provide to private forest owners in Pennsylvania.

Photograph of a scientific research poster titled "Carbon Rich, Forest Strong," presenting a study on climate-smart silviculture for biodiversity and carbon co-benefits in private forests. The poster includes sections on introduction, objectives, methodology with labeled photos of forest treatments, bird census deployment, expected results, and acknowledgments, featuring color-coded diagrams, photos of forest conditions, and icons illustrating study components.
